Missing Teeth

When a tooth or a series of teeth have to be removed, there are a number of treatment options that the Waverley Smile Clinic can provide to restore your smile and maintain your bite.

Bridges

Dental bridges replace missing teeth and “bridges” the gap where one or more teeth may have been. The bridge may be made of gold, alloys, porcelain or a combination of these materials. Bridges are normally cemented on natural teeth or either side of the gap or attached to implants.

The dental bridge eliminates the gap left by a missing tooth or series of teeth, giving our patients a more beautiful smile.

Removable partial denture

A partial denture consists of replacement teeth attached to a pink gum coloured plastic based connected by metal framework.

Implants

Dental implants are small screws designed to replace the root of a tooth. This is a surgical procedure that involves the placement of a titanium screw into the bone as a tooth replacement. Once the implant is successfully placed, a crown is used to cover it, therefore mimicking a real tooth. When there are multiple teeth missing, an implant can be used to anchor dentures or bridgework. Dental implants restore the physical appearance of teeth and enhance the chewing function of patients.

Waverley Dental Implant Centre utilises the latest dental implant technology by replacing one single tooth to an entire arch of bridgework utilising the all on four technique.
